I am so happy to announce that I will be joining Symphony Number One as their new Principal Pianist! Symphony Number One is the East Coast’s newest chamber orchestra, based in Baltimore, MD. Our concert seasons will feature innovative programs of great works of the past and premieres of new works by today’s emerging composers.
This season will feature four outstanding programs, all under the baton of founder and music director, Jordan Randall Smith. Our first concert will feature the Erwin Stein chamber arrangement of Gustav Mahler’s 4th symphony and the world premiere of the Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Chamber Orchestra by Andrew Boss.
I am thrilled to start working on this music, and I’m looking forward to working with some very talented musicians! I hope you can join us at some of these concerts this season. I will keep dates posted on my “Upcoming Performances” page, but please also check out the calendar on the symphony’s site.
Lastly, I want to draw your attention to our funding campaign. Every musical organization needs support to help secure the future seasons! I hope you will consider making a gift towards our inaugural season. Any and every gift, no matter the size, is important to this dynamic symphony orchestra! There are only 23 days left in the campaign, so don’t delay!
