Black Women of Opera and Song

IN the latest release of the INVISION recital series, soprano Elise Christina Jenkins, along with collaborative pianist Elizabeth Hill, pay tribute to the Black Women who have paved the way for today’s musical artists with genre-defying compositions and role-defining performances. The duo honors Leontyne Price, Jessye Norman, Marian Anderson, Audra MacDonald, Margaret Bonds, Florence Beatrice Price, and Jasmine Barnes with heartfelt and soul-touching renditions of selections from opera, art song, musical theatre, and spirituals.
